Along one of the longer sides of the blanket, there are two distinct points for attaching it: a strip of webbing with two small buckles and a small loop made of webbing. You place the blanket over your shoulders, pass one of the buckles through the loop, and then secure the buckles together by clipping them.

Will I start carrying tent stakes for every picnic in the future? Most likely not, but I do admire the effort put into the design.
